Follow the steps to configure Netscape® Messenger version 4.5 through 4.8 for JapanNet.

1. Doubld-click the "Netscape Communicator" icon to launch application.

2. Click the [Next] button.

3. Type your full name in the [Your Name] text-box, type your E-mail Address for JapanNet in the [Email address] text-box, and click the [Next] button.

4. Type "JapanNet" for [Your Profile Name] and click the [Next] button.

5. Click the [Next] button.

6. Type "smtp.kdd.net" in the [Outgoing mail (SMTP) server] text-box and click the [Next] button.

7. Type your E-mail Account Name in the [Mail server user name] text-box, type "mail.kdd.net in the [Incoming mail server] text-box, choose "POP" for [Mail server type],and click the [Next] button.

8. Click the [Next] button.

9. Uncheck all check-box (if you prefer) and click the [Next] button.

10. Uncheck the [Import informaiton from other programs] check-box and click the [Next] button.

11. Click the [Done] button.

12. Click the [Communicator] menu and choose [Messenger].

13. Click on the [Msg] icon.
* You need to connect to JapanNet at this point.

14. Type your Mail Account Password in the text-box and click the [OK] button.

If you correctly input information avobe, you should be able to access to your new e-mail account now.
