Microsoft® Outlook™ 2002 for Windows®

Follow the steps to configure Microsoft® Outlook™ 2002 for JapanNet.

1. Doubld-click the "Outlook 2002" icon to launch application.

2. Click the [Next] button.

3. Choose "Do not upgrade" if you do not need to upgrade from older version of Outlook™ or other mail program; and then, click the [Next] button.

4. Choose "Yes" and click the [Next] button.

5. Choose "POP3" and click the [Next] button.

6. Refer to the following chart, type the appropreate information or check/uncheck in each text-box.

Your Name	(Your full name)
E-mail Address	(Your E-mail Address for JapanNet)
Incoming mail server	mail.kdd.net
Outgoing mail server	smtp.kdd.net
User name	(Your Mail Account Name) EX.) mb000000
Password	(Your Mail Account Password)
Remember password	(Checked)
Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)	(Uncheck)

7. Click the [Test Account Settings...] button. It tests the connection to JapanNet's mail server(s).

*** You should have the Internet connection at the time you click this button.

8. When test has finished, click the [Close] button and click the [Next] button.

9. Click the [Finish] button.

Now, you are just complete the configuration for JapanNet's mail account and ready to sending/receiving e-mail.
